HOLY SHIZ

Well, awesome news. I can’t fit into any of my pretty dresses. Now, I’m serious. I need to lose like 10 pounds otherwise I’m out hundreds/thousands of monies. FML.

P.S. Now I have to eat something. what? I’m feeling pretty awful here. I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR TO MY BLACK TIE EVENT TOMORROW. Sobs.

The Failing Of My Diet Continues

Oh boy. I haven’t been on Tumblr in so long that it took me a minute to figure out how to navigate this sitch.

So no real updates but that my diet is continuing on this downward spiral. It’s really fantastic.

I actually went to my beach vacay and it was totes fun and fine. But now, I feel so totally unhealthy. I need a life change.

So, today. I think today was a successful eating day! I didn’t really eat SUPER healthy but I did eat better than normal. So here’s a list of things I ate. 

Breakfast:

1/2 of fresh carrot juice (I drink this every morning)

1 Hard Boiled Egg

1 Medium cup of coffee. I got it with no sugar and regretted it the second it touched my tongue. Added one sugar. Much better. 

Lunch:

Water

Vegan Salad from Pret (<3 this salad!) no dressing. 

Snack:

Peach

Dinner:

Soon Boo Doo, Rice and Kim Chi Pancake 

Night Snack:

Two pieces of bread. One plain, one toasted with sugar. I COULDNT HELP IT! I was reading The Pioneer Woman’s blog and looking at all these pictures of margarine and butter and sugar and I literally wanted to lick my computer screen. Good thing I’m lazy because I’m pretty sure I would’ve gotten in my car and gotten myself a cupcake if I wasn’t. 

Oh, and green tea. 

Soo yeah, that was my day. I would be magical if I can keep this up, but I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to be a model eater. Especially tomorrow. I’ve got some serious bar plans and I plan on eating a lot of bad bar food. Meh.

**BTW The only pics I took today was that pic of the toast. The other are from my inventory of food pics I keep in my phone. I like to eat the same things over and over again…

So here are all the things I had hoped to do by now but clearly didn&#8217;t.
1. Bike everyday. I biked once since I wrote that here. 
2. Eat breakfast. I still just have coffee for breakfast. 
3. Exercise? Uhm, I walked a lot if that counts. 

So clearly, I&#8217;m doing a great job at this whole get healthy and hot for my June bikini vacation. Meh. I went to Barnes and Noble today and saw this book, The 17 Day Diet. It&#8217;s basically what the title says. How to lose weight in 17 days following these absurd and rigid rules. (I have to admit, It made me want to go on this diet). There are tons of great reviews on Amazon&#8230; OMG, SO effing close to pressing buy. 
I really don&#8217;t believe in having these strict, set diet rules every day because it&#8217;s just unreasonable to plan every single meal and live in such a restricted manner. I want to enjoy a burger and feel fine about it. I don&#8217;t want to feel guilty about eating a cupcake. I&#8217;ve never been that kind of person and I never want to be that kind of person. I believe in portion controls, and eating in moderation. So I guess that means I shouldn&#8217;t buy this book. I probably won&#8217;t even follow their rules. 
This week&#8217;s goals? EAT BREAKFAST!!!! And a smaller/healthier lunch. And for dinner? Whatever the hell I want.

Womp Womp Womp…

So… the plan was to wake up at 6:45 and go bike before work. So I went to bed around midnight and cuddled up with my iPhone to read Reddit until I fell asleep. But everything went wrong. Here is the list of reasons why I couldn’t go biking this morning. (Swear they’re totally legit)

1. Reddit app wasn’t loading the comments. 

2. Downloaded another Reddit app. Didn’t work either. 

3. Browsed Facebook

4. Back to Reddit — still doesn’t work. 

5. Tried to go to sleep. It’s now 12:30. 

6. Still awake and now it’s 1AM. 

7. Tried the Reddit app. It’s working! 

8. 1:30AM. Still reading Reddit and 100% awake. 

9. It’s 2AM, and I’m finally starting to fall asleep. 

10. Turn off my alarm for 6:45 and call it a night. I’m getting up at 8 instead. 

So there you have it. 10 awesome reasons why I couldn’t work out this morning.

The problem with wanting to lose weight is that I need to exercise and I&#8217;m not a fan of the e word. Let&#8217;s be real here. It&#8217;s so hard to get motivated to go to the gym. I&#8217;ve been through phases where I was a gym rat for months and went religiously without fail. But that&#8217;s a really tough life style to keep up with and I get bored fairly quickly. 
I was contemplating running everyday but I nixed that once I remembered that I hate running. It really makes me want to quit my life and die right there. But I do love biking. And since the weather is nice again, I think I&#8217;ll go on a daily bike ride and see how that goes. 
I&#8217;m lucky enough to have a really flexible work schedule and as long as I&#8217;m in the office by 10ish, everyone is peachy. Starting tomorrow I&#8217;ll go on a bike ride near my house. I&#8217;m not really sure how long this bike ride is. I&#8217;m putting this app that I downloaded to the test, &#8220;Runkeeper&#8221; and I&#8217;ll keep my progress here. 
The point isn&#8217;t really to lose a ton of weight but just be really healthy and hopefully in better shape. 
My friends and I are planning a 200 mile bike trip next month and I want to be able to do that with energy to spare. The most I&#8217;ve done was 75 miles and it wasn&#8217;t that bad so I&#8217;m hoping to conquer a longer bike tour this year.

On the upside, (with the exclusion of last night, where I consumed an inhuman portion of food including copious amounts of beer, pizza and a falafel sandwich) I&#8217;ve been eating somewhat healthy.
